About Gloria Cargo

A freight partner built on the rhythms of the sea.

For more than two decades we have moved ocean freight, air cargo, and overland shipments for the world's most demanding supply chains — pairing disciplined operations with the kind of judgement you only get from people who have lived a thousand port calls.

Our Heritage

Founded at the dockside, shaped by global trade.

Gloria Cargo began in 2001 as a single-office forwarder in the Port of Piraeus, serving Greek olive exporters moving pallets across the Mediterranean. Within five years we had opened bonded warehousing in Rotterdam and a representative office in Singapore. By 2014 our ocean freight team was coordinating weekly FAK and reefer services on every major east–west trade lane.

Today, the company is a multi-modal logistics operator with permanent presence in 27 countries and a partner network that covers another 90. We still answer the phone the way we did in 2001 — with a person who knows the booking, the vessel, and the consignee. That is the part of the business we have never been willing to scale away.

Mission & Values

What we ship is trust. Everything else is boxes.

Three principles shape every booking, every customs entry, and every phone call we make on a customer's behalf.

Operational precision

We treat every shipment as a series of handoffs — port to truck, customs to warehouse, warehouse to last mile — and we own every one of them. Documentation, ETAs, and exception handling are tracked against published service standards, not internal optimism.

Compliance as craft

Customs, AEO, dangerous goods, phytosanitary, dual-use — we maintain in-house specialists rather than outsourcing judgement. The paperwork is part of the product, and the product is an entry that clears first time.

Long-horizon relationships

The average tenure of our top fifty customers is 11 years. We design commercial terms, capacity commitments, and reporting cadences around the length of a partnership, not the length of a quarter.

Leadership

The people accountable to your shipment.

Each member of our executive group carries an operating mandate, not a decorative title — they are the escalation point when a booking needs a decision, not a meeting.

A Note From the Founder

The case for the long way round.

There is always a faster way to move a container and a cheaper way to clear a customs entry. We do not chase either. We chase the route that is the right way — the one a customer can plan their production calendar around, and a receiver can sign off without opening the box. The short way round is the long way home, and our customers have always been able to tell the difference.
