How fresh is the container status I see on this page?
Status events are typically reflected within 60–180 seconds of being transmitted by the carrier. For vessels at sea, AIS-derived position updates land every 90 seconds, and predictive ETA models recompute every 15 minutes.
What reference types can I use to look up a shipment?
Container number (ISO 6346), booking number, master or house Bill of Lading, and — for air freight handled by our group — master AWB. Mixed references across modes can be cross-searched in a single query.
Can my consignee or customs broker receive the same tracking feed?
Yes. Each shipment allows up to 10 free recipient addresses and webhook endpoints. Permissions can be scoped to read-only milestone events, document access, or full event-level telemetry depending on your commercial relationship.
What happens if the carrier stops transmitting EDI updates?
Our control tower flags any shipment that has not received a status update in 48 hours, opens a ticket with the carrier, and proactively contacts you with the last known milestone and any reroute options we can deploy from our network.
Is historical tracking data retained for audit purposes?
All EDI events, AIS pings, and document versions are retained for 7 years in WORM storage, accessible to clients on request for compliance, claims, and sustainability reporting — including scope 3 emissions calculations per GLEC v3.
